GEORGETOWN (October 26, 2010) -The Bell Legal Group is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Scott C. Evans to its Civil Litigation team. Evans will focus his practice in the areas of environmental law and products liability.
Evans, a native of Summerville, received his J.D., cum laude, in 2008 from the University Of South Carolina School Of Law, where he received CALI Awards in Constitutional Law I, Entertainment Law, Evidence, Insurance, and Race and Relations Law, and was on the Dean’s List. He was elected to the Order of the Coif Honor Society, the Wig and Robe Honor Society, and participated in Moot Court, where he was Competition Team Captain and awarded the prestigious Order of the Barristers.
A 2005 graduate of College of Charleston, Evans received his B.S., summa cum laude, in Business Administration. He was named Top Honor Graduate, ranking number one in his class, awarded the Alumni Medalist, and served as co-president of the Sigma Alpha Phi Honor Society.
Prior to joining the firm, King served as judicial law clerk to The Honorable Terry L. Wooton, United States Judge for the District of South Carolina, Florence. His responsibilities included complex docket management and the research and drafting of published and non-published court orders.
While attending law school, King clerked at Richardson, Patrick, Westbrook & Brickman in Barnwell, and was a judicial intern for The Honorable Margaret B. Seymour, United States Judge for the District of South Carolina, Columbia.
King was admitted to practice in South Carolina in November 2008, and is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and the Georgetown County Bar Association.
